Inspired by this post, the caption of which reads “A semicolon is used when a sentence could have been ended, but it wasn’t,” which is exactly the reason I loved it so much and decided to get the semi-colon on my own wrist.
The number under the barcode is my NHI number, which is used by medical institutions around New Zealand to identify a patient - combined with the barcode it represents how much time I spent in hospital, and how a lot of the time one feels like one is “just a number”. Got these because I’m finally starting a new chapter and leaving my illness behind.
I like the reasoning for the tatts :) pretty cool
